Titon is quiet, what is he up to....

So you know when your kid is quiet, something is up.....The other day I went to check on my quiet Titon and this was how I found him. Needless to say, he went off to the shower with daddy.

My baby is one!

Can you believe it has been a year already? Wow! It went fast. Titon is not my little baby anymore…. I spent the day making his farm animal cake and getting ready for his party. We had Randy and Tasha’s family and Tina and Mike’s family over as well as our friends the Newbill’s from our ward. We had a BBQ, a piƱata, and played farmingo (farm bingo I created that I renamed. You had to make the sound of the animal that was selected). Titon was spoiled getting lots of bigger kid toys, which was needed. He was past all his baby rattles.

Here’s where he’s at right now. He is super fast at crawling and getting close to walking. He has been able to go up and down stairs since he first started to crawl. He loves being in the same room as me and either cries when I leave to another room or he follows me depending on how tired he is. He has 10 teeth and is getting two more top molars in. He loves to eat and isn’t very picky. He especially loves pancakes, cream of wheat, fruit, and grilled cheese sandwiches. He is drinking whole milk and loves it. He loves balls and is getting good at his throwing/passing skills, which we work on daily. He also loves trucks, cars and drums.

He is average and solid. He was in the 54% for height and 59% for weight at his one year checkup. He is a happy baby, and lets you know if he is hungry or tired. He smiles a lot and loves to play and can self entertain, which is great when I’m cleaning or busy doing things. Brian even taught him how to head butt, (not a good thing, but funny)and also how to tackle a little pillow on the command of "set go".

He has been such a blessing in our home, and has brought a lot of laughter and joy. We love him and have a hard time remembering what life was before he joined our family.

Happy birthday little man!

We waited for the whole year to cut his hair for the first time. He needed it badly, but I knew once I did he was going to seem so big. It was a whole family affair. Even Ari was able to cut some of it. He definitely seems so much older to me now.

32 already?

Another year has gone by already? Who knew at 32 I would have been married almost three years and be a month away from having my 2nd baby. It was a great day. I spent the day with my little Titon. When Brian was home from work, we went to dinner at Red lobster (my choice). I don’t like seafood, but I do love their coconut shrimp….Yum! I had told Brian earlier I didn’t need a big party; I just wanted to go out to dinner. He didn’t listen. When we got home from dinner his sister Sarah and her kids were at our house and the party only grew from there with his family and several friends from our ward came over for banana splits and ice cream sundays. What a surprise! It was fun to see them all and know they were there for my birthday. I had tons of calls, texts, and emails from all my dear friends and family. Thank you for thinking of me and thank you honey for not listening and treating me so good!

Our Utah Summer Trip

Brian always seems to love that fact that when it is nice in Washington, we are conveniently in Utah. This year was no exception. I had been looking forward to this trip for a long time. It was going to be two weeks in Utah with my family. With the recent new purchase of our Mazda CX-9 we decided to drive to Utah. I left with Ariana and Titon early and Brian joined up with us a week later in Las Vegas. Driving that far with kids and being seven months pregnant was not something I looked forward to, but we had our cousin Kimm drive with us. Thank you Kimm, you were a gem!

We spent a few short days in Salt Lake and were able to visit the zoo with my sister Jacquelyn and her two kids, Courtney and Christopher. We also met up with my sister in law Angie and her three little ones and cousin. We had a great day and survived the heat. It was Ice block day and Christmas in July so a lot of the animals had ice blocks in their cages and the kids got to see Santa.

On Monday, we went to a water park and met back up with sister in laws Angie and kids and Karen and her kids. It was a great day. Titon loved the splash pad and learned to love his new float we bought. I remembered sunscreen for the kids, but of course forgot myself, so I got fried.

We went to Enterprise/St. George next where we did a lot of fun things. We watched both my nephew and niece play in their little league tournament and was able to join in on several cousins birthdays. Happy birthday Cole, Chase, and Kaylie!

We went swimming multiple times and played in a splash pad.

We stayed in a fun cabin in Pine Valley and went up into the park and had a picnic one day. We also visited the Enterprise Res.

I was able to meet up with a few friends from high school one night. It was great to catch up. It's been several years for a few of them.

Of course we hit the 24th of July celebration in my home town. I always look forward to this home town event. There was a parade, kid races, family BBQ, and of course the rodeo.
