Celebrating Dad!

What a great day to celebrate Brian, my dad, Brian's dad, and all fathers!

I think we are starting a tradition to have Father’s Day dinner at our house with the Fullers. We barbequed hamburgers and hotdogs, but I tried to spice them up with lots of topping options such as bacon, avocado, blue cheese, bbq, ranch, etc.
Brian came up with a fun family Olympics game for everyone to play and compete in. Here's a sample of a few of the games: fastest time putting together Titon’s puzzle, how many balls will it take to get five balls in a bowl, who can get the best score on an old school Nintendo game, a good old typing test on the computer to see how fast you could type. It was fun and there was a lot of trash talk between each player, which added another fun element. Good thing we are all family! In the end, home court advantages won out, but that aside the winner was Mike!

Brian, we really do appreciate you and all you do for our family. You make sacrifices all the time for us, you are such a hard worker and can easily entertain us and can keep us all laughing. We love you!

Olympia Air Show

This is the 2nd year we’ve gone to the Olympia Air Show. We get a great spot and watch it from the comfort of our car, just outside the fence line, which saves us money and we get to still see all the fun airplanes. This year, we brought chairs to set up when it wasn’t raining. Titon loved hearing and seeing all the airplanes and helicopters fly around.

Titon's first fishing trip

For Family home evening last week, we went down to the Fullers. Ben and Shannon were in town with Alyssa and Holly and we wanted to visit. After dinner, we took all the kids down to the park to fish. It was Titon’s first fishing trip and it was pretty funny. They each were able to catch a fish (which we released). They didn’t catch them with the worms they caught, but they caught them with Diesol’s sweet potato baby puffs. The fish loved them!

Brian's our Mr. Fixit

It seems lately that lots of things are needing to be fixed around our house. Luckily, Brian loves to learn and tackle these projects so he’s replaced a leaky faucet, and a shower head, replaced broken blinds, and the latest one was fix our washer, which I’m so grateful for, since we don’t have to buy a new one right now. Thanks for being our Mr. fixit and taking care of the honey dos. By the time we buy our own house, he's going to be a pro!

Mariner’s Game

We had fun going to the Mariner’s Game on June 4th with the Fullers our friend Greg Newbill. We enjoyed the hot sun, getting to put sunscreen on for the first time this year and helping Greg celebrate his birthday. Titon loved playing with Tripp and eating all of Randy’s garlic fries. After the game, we went to the Seattle Center, where the guys went to a pinball game show and Carol and I played with the kids at a little wading pool. We weren’t completely prepared for a swim, but that didn’t stop us from getting in. Titon loved running around in his diaper!

DJ Brian

Brian got to pull out his DJ stuff once again for our ward talent show. There was lots of talent shared that night and Brian did a great job with the music, and with his side comments to keep us laughing.

North Bend Railroad and Snoqualmie falls

We went with the Fullers for a day trip to North Bend to go on a train ride. It was fun to board the old train and find which car was going to be the best one to ride in. We ended up being in the best seats for the view just past Snoqualmie Falls. After the train ride, everyone got ice cream and we drove back to the falls for some pictures. This was the second time I had been there and both times the wind was blowing like crazy and it was a little chilly. Guess that’s what we get for being up in the mountains. The kids loved every minute of it and I loved the shopping at the outlets at the end of the day.

It's sunny, so let's play baseball

It was a beautiful sunny day so we got to go out and play a little catch with the baseball. Brian even tried to teach Titon how to swing a bat……Boy are we in trouble!

YW Volleyball

I had the opportunity to coach the Young Women Volleyball again this year with my friend Lorraine. We had a fun time and the girls did so great! They have come a long way in the two years we’ve been coaching them.

Bike Trailer

After doing a lot of research and looking at bike trailers, we finally purchased the Croozer Kid for 2 and I love it! I use it daily for bike rides, my jogging, and walks. I find that now I have this, it makes going outside to work out without Brian home so much easier. It is so great and the boys love it too. We spent a little more money on it to get a nice one with some great features, but it has been so worth the money so far. We already have gone on several family bike rides, which have been so fun. Here’s to more future outdoor family adventures!

Diesol's 6 months

My baby is six months and I can’t believe how fast time is flying by. He is my big boy and in the 99 percentile for height and weight. He loves to eat. He has two bottom teeth and he can army crawl and get wherever he wants to go. He loves to be where the action is. He follows his brother around and hangs in the kitchen with me. He loves to laugh and play with Titon. He is such a good baby; he never cries unless he is hungry or tired. He is such a joy to have in our family. We love you Diesol.
