Surprise, Extra week of vacation - Let's travel

Brian surprised us with an extra week off work, so we took our time on the drive back from Utah. We went through Death Valley, Yosemite, San Francisco, and the Redwood forest. The kids did pretty good being in the car for so long. They were troopers and we were able to see my niece Whitney in San Jose. What fun!

Not in Utah anymore!

I was a little sad I couldn’t be in Utah over the 4th to see my Aunt Colleen who was visiting from TX, but I was looking forward to celebrating the 4th of July in Centralia, WA with a parade and a demolition derby that night with fireworks afterwards, only to realize I’m not in Utah anymore. It fell on a Sunday this year, which I was bummed about because with it being the Sabbath we didn’t join in any festivities that day.
We did go to a little town called Frances, WA for their Swiss days on Saturday. It was nothing like the Swiss days in Midway, but we were able to watch a few Swiss wrestling matches. It’s where they put on a belted gunnysack and try to throw each other down in the straw. It would have been more amusing had Brian and Andrew got into the action….. Afterwards we went back to Carol and Willie’s for a BBQ. Glad we could spend the day with family.

Free Egg Salad Sandwich

Brian’s always wanted to check out Winlock’s Egg Days, so we took a trip down to the little town. We had great seats in the middle of the road for the parade. Our favorite float was a huge shopping cart. We ate the free egg salad sandwiches and were able to see all the carnival rides. The local fire department had set up a staged house and kids were able to go through it with fake smoke (fog) to try to find their way to the window and out of the house. Ari loved it and went through several times. They also gave away free bike helmets for the kids. We were able to get one for Ari. Score!

We didn’t take any cash, which we decided was a great way to save money. Now we can say we’ve been there, done that, and probably won’t need to do it again.

Can we handle another Fuller?

After we had Titon, I felt that we needed to have another one close to him. Brian agreed and so we are expecting again. We are due October 19th with another boy. It happened a little sooner than I think we were originally thinking, but we are excited to add to our family. Brian keeps saying we should have four in four years and be done, but I think we will take it one at a time. Just let me get through this one….half way there!

Actress Ariana

Ariana was in her school play and had the only part that spoke at two different times. In trying to get down there, we had a doctor appointment earlier that day. It turned into a 2 ½ hour appointment. (Two hour wait and then saw our doctor for ½ hour.) It made us late getting down to it, but it was worth it. She did a great job and it was fun to watch her in it. Great job Ari!

Utah once again

I thought it would be good for our family to attend conference this year. Luckily, we were one of the few from our stake who got tickets to go to a session. So we headed out for our first long family drive with Titon. He did so great riding in the car for so long both days. We stopped in Boise for the night, which was a fun and needed break. We made this a quick trip as we pulled Ariana out of school for a few days to go with us. We got there on Friday and left on Monday. We had a wonderful time and were able to see all our immediate family in the area; unfortunately we didn’t have time to see any other friends. Next trip!

Conference was so great. Afterwards, I wondered what Ari thought of her first time actually being there in the same room as the prophet and apostles. She turned to me and said “that was awesome!” I was glad we all had a great time. I’m always so uplifted after hearing all the wonderful talks. On Monday, Brian and Ariana drove back to Washington and Titon and I drove down to spend a few days in southern Utah with my parents. We had so much fun visiting all my other brothers and sisters down there. Thanks Mom and Dad for making that possible.

Titon is six months!

Where does the time go? Sure I haven't slept through a whole night in a long time. Having spit up on me or slobber is no longer gross. I can be up to my ears with a crying baby, but one smile and one look can melt me in nothing flat. I love being a mom and am blessed and fortunate enough to stay home to raise him. Thank you Brian for giving me that!

Can you believe Titon is already six months. It has gone by so fast. He has three teeth already and is close to a fourth. He has been rolling over for a while now and is getting so close to crawling. He loves to eat and love to play. He fits in his 6 month clothes really well right now and at his six month appointment he was only in the 30% for height and weight and in the 17% for his head. We were a little surprised with that, and decided to start supplementing with formula as he was struggling with nursing. He is doing so much better now. A lot happier and sleeping better. He is also eating solids. He is not picky and eats his vegetables before his fruits. He sleeps around seven hours on average at night and has gone through the whole night several times.

We are so lucky to have him. We love this little guy!
